Adjunct Instructor/Trainer - Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and/or Manual Machining
This position reports to the Workforce Development and Innovation.

Appointment Period:

This position is intermittent in nature based on industry contracts and training in both classroom and lab activities.

Responsibilities: Adjunct/Trainer Engineering Technology may teach in the area of CNC, CNC Programming, Manual mill, manual lathe, or related topics that support incumbent worker training and the emerging workforce. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Specific Duties:
  1. Teaches and facilitates non-credit and credit Engineering Technology courses in CNC or Manual Machining.
  2. Prepares and develops outlines, training manuals and materials.
  3. Provides consulting services to clients/customers as required.
  4. Instructional times vary and include daytime and evening courses.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.


Major Work Qualifications: A combination of education and experience in CNC, manual mill and manual lathe. Applicable technical training in the area of instruction can include a BS or AS degree in Engineering Technology, Journeyperson certification, or other technical experience. Credentials will be reviewed to determine eligibility to teach credit or non-credit courses. Previous experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing setting with tangible knowledge and skills in Mechanical and related content preferred. Previous teaching experience is a plus. Familiarity with west central and northwest Ohio business/industry community is desirable. Demonstration of initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Requires team skills, effective communication skills, a friendly, outgoing, responsible personality, and a detail orientation.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
